The Offbeat Aesthetes was created as a space for those of us who both love and appreciate beauty in all its forms.
You can’t categorize our tastes.
You can’t put us in a box.
Our uniqueness won’t allow it.
And for many of us, social media has served as a space for us to exist and show ourselves and our tastes to the world — as much or as little as we prefer.
But what happens if (or in some cases, when) those social media spaces disappear? Where will we go online to connect?
An easy answer would be to connect offline more with people, and that’s fine. That should absolutely be a part of the solution to finding community in the 21st century. But it is an undeniable fact of life that many of us depend on the online sphere to connect with others in some form.
So, I created The Offbeat Aesthetes. I’ve started to grow a moderately-sized community on TikTok, but guess what? The American government wants to get rid of that space that about 170 million Americans regularly use, so we need alternatives. For myself and those like me, I hope that The Offbeat Aesthetes can serve as a space to gather and stay in touch around things that inspire us in these areas:
- Travel
- Home
- Culture
- Design
- Beauty
- Sustainability
- Innovation
And when I find things that I think you all would like, I’ll recommend them to you via various programs (more on those in another post).
But for now, let’s stay in touch via my social media platforms:

I’ll catch you soon!
